Day 17 of The Inner Compass Process

Apr 23, 2021

For the next 21 days, I'm going to be posting my Inner Compass journey on my blog. Want to go through the Inner Compass Process with me to find more personal and professional fulfillment? Please read these short blog posts and journal your responses.

What held you back as a child will rear its ugly head in your career. That's why looking at childhood memories and UNDERSTANDING YOUR BEHAVIORAL PATTERNS is key.

I shared in a post yesterday that I was severely bullied for three years in elementary school. It led me to put up walls of self-protection and to push others away from me. I can fall into those old patterns to this day. If I don't bring awareness to my behaviors, they can negatively impact my career. I have to spend a lot of time giving myself love and empathy to shift these patterns (which have changed over time). I also have to reach out to others for support.

What held you back as a child and how does it rear its ugly head in your career? What do you do to overcome those patterns, so that you can thrive?
